Advancing Canadian Agriculture and Agri-Food (ACAAF) Program
Agriculture and Agri-food Canada
A five-year, $240 million program aimed at positioning Canada's agriculture and agri-food sector at the leading edge to seize new opportunities. ACAAF was launched in April 2004 as a successor to the Canadian Adaptation and Rural Development (CARD) Fund

Biofuels Opportunities for Producers Initiative
Designed to help farmers and rural communities hire experts who can assist in developing business proposals and undertake feasibility and other studies necessary to create and expand biofuels production capacity involving significant (greater than one-third) ownership by agricultural producers.

Agricultural Bioproducts Innovation Program
Agriculture and Agri-food Canada
A $145 million, multi-year program designed to support new and existing research networks and encourage the development of clusters for the advancement of a sustainable and profitable Canadian bioeconomy.

Agri-Opportunities Program
Agriculture and Agri-food Canada
A $134 million, five-year program that aims to accelerate the commercialization of new agricultural products, processes or services that are currently not produced or commercially available in Canada, and are ready to be introduced to the marketplace.

Bioenergy Development Program
Natural Resources Canada
To assist Canadian industry in the research and development (R&D) and commercialization of bioenergy technologies that can serve as reliable, cost-effective and environmentally responsible alternatives to conventional energy production.

Business Development Bank of Canada – Various Programs
BDC plays a leadership role in delivering financial, investment and consulting services to Canadian small businesses, with a particular focus on the technology and export sectors of the economy.

Clean Energy Fund Program
Clean energy is energy that is produced, transmitted, distributed and used with low or zero greenhouse gas (GHG) and other air emissions. The Government of Canada has committed that Canada’s total GHG emissions be reduced by 20 percent from 2006 levels by 2020 and that 90 percent of Canada’s electricity be provided by non-emitting sources such as hydro, nuclear, clean coal and wind power by 2020.

Climate Change Action Fund - Technology Early Action Measures (CCAF - TEAM)
Natural Resources Canada, Environment Canada, Industry Canada
TEAM is an interdepartmental technology investment program supporting projects that are designed to demonstrate technologies that mitigate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions nationally and internationally, and that sustain economic and social development.

Eastern Ontario Development Program
FedNor, Community Futures Development Corporations
A $10 million, short-term contribution to a program aimed at addressing socio-economic challenges in Eastern Ontario.

ecoAGRICULTURE Biofuels Capital Initiative
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada
A federal $200 million four-year program ending on March 31, 2011 that provides repayable contributions for the construction or expansion of transportation biofuel production facilities.

ecoENERGY for Renewable Power
ecoENERGY for Renewable Power will invest $1.48 billion to increase Canada's supply of clean electricity from renewable sources such as wind, biomass, low-impact hydro, geothermal, solar photovoltaic and ocean energy. It will encourage the production of 14.3 terrawatt hours of new electricity from renewable energy sources, enough electricity to power about one million homes.

ecoEnergy Technology Initiative
Natural Resources Canada
A $230-million investment in clean energy science and technology to fund research, development and demonstration (RD&D) to support the development of next- generation energy technologies needed to break through to emissions-free fossil fuel production, as well as for producing energy from other clean sources, such as renewables and bio-energy. It will also support the use and integration of clean energy in end-use sectors such as buildings and community systems.

Emerging Technologies Program
Natural Resources Canada
Identifies technical barriers to increasing the energy efficiency of Canadian industries by providing up to fifty percent (50%) funding assistance for technical assessments, prototype development and field trials is repayable from revenue or cost savings resulting from the project.

Funding Technologies for the Environment – Fund List
Environment Canada

Green Energy Act
