As the clean energy sector gains momentum, attention is spreading from energy generation to energy use in non-stationary applications. Join researchers, business leaders and technology companies as they explore Clean Energy in Transportation.

This seminar will:

• demonstrate how other clean energy technologies have evolved from the lab to commercial applications;
• examine the current state of research and development in clean transportation including plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and hydrogen fuel cells in our public and private research institutions;
• investigate the impact of wide deployment of PHEV vehicles on the electrical grid;
• focus on commercial endeavours in clean transportation; and
• delve into an interactive discussion on how resources in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario can be leveraged to deliver innovative clean energy solutions.

The seminar will be followed by a rare opportunity to tour relevant research projects at Natural Resources Canada's CANMET Energy Technology Centre. (Limited to the first 60 registrants)
